Bas reliefs are sculptures that are mostly flattened, but still give the illusion of being more fully fleshed
out. Ancient Greek and Roman sculptors used this technique often when space was limited, such as on the ledges of buildings.
Where did my interest come from? It's the perfect combination of my interest in sculpting and drawing,
and in the case of the first bas relief I ever attempted, Disneyana.
