No, I don't own a kiln and/or make my own pottery. I might finally crack if I added that
hobby, too. Below are just some examples of plates and bowls that I've been painting at one of those paint-your-own-mug
places, except that I never paint mugs. They supply the unfired dishes and glaze, then fire 'em; I just paint 'em.
My goal is to replace all of my current dishware sets with ones that I've painted myself. I don't
have a dishwasher (sigh), so I don't worry about them chipping from that hot dishwasher action. Unfortunately they're
not made of the strongest of dishware clay, so I have to be careful about things like microwaves.
