The original reason that I created this site and had called it "The Doll Doctor."  In a word, the "plastic surgeon" kind of doctor, not for the ER.  Back in the days of 8" Mego action figures, I often customized them into characters that I preferred over the official ones.  Yes, intact Megos are worth a lot these days, I know.  Now I customize the 12" variety of dolls, although these days it's tough to find a character that has NOT been officially licensed and produced by companies like Sideshow Toy, Hot Toys and Real Action Heroes.  On the other hand, how many characters from this page have been mass-produced??
